"Whistles"

Being Belgian with Nicaraguayan roots, my most beloved pieces are animal-shaped and can emit sounds in different ways.
I create «Water Nightingales», «Cuckoos» and «Ocarinas», the latter producing an accurate full-chromatic tone-scale.
Mostly, each piece is turned, then reworked by modeling or engobe-covering (sgrafitto-technique). The firing by high temperature (1280°) and reduction, produces especially rich glazes thanks to almost 30 years of experience (production and maintenance of gaz-kilns in Nicaragua and Spain, as a potter to Grès de La Roche, and presently as an independant ceramist).

Each creation is unique and hand-made.
Garanteed non-toxic , and oven- microwave– and dihwasher-proof.
